Good for you Lana!!! I left a newspaper job a few years ago, because I was being paid terribly and then they switched my hours (which I'd had for 4 years) to night desk. There was no way I was working until midnight every night for what they were paying me.
Stand your ground, hopefully they'll come in with a new offer that's atleast close to what you're asking for.

Not sure. Hopefully by Wednesday. But it's their style to keep you hanging here. It's sad. This company has such a wonderful mission. Magazines for minorities/people with disabilities. All things I care about. But I can't take being treated unfairly.

Good for you! Sadly companies often only see the numbers so if it doesn't go your way I second your move to hit the road. I'm searching for a new job right now for the same reason. Two years of great reviews and more tasking work and two years of crap raises and 0 bonuses. What a joke! I read and update my resume almost daily just to boost my morale and now its time to move on.
