HSG test - update
My dr wants to schedule one, but I have a few Q's
Does it have to be done before OV?
Is it hard to schedule?
I have an apt on Jan3rd and I haven't been scheduled for it yet. Jan 3rd will be day 9
Will I be able to get one b4 day 12 /13?
Should I call the office and get it scheduled for just after I see him?
** Update **
Dr's office said day 11 is OK and I got an apt at 8.30 am - thank god

Yes, usually the HSG test is done before your ovulate. They usually do the test between day 3 and day10. They aren't too hard to schedule because the office knows there is a time constraint. I would call and find out when they want you to schedule and who they recommend. Good luck and take a couple of Advil before you go. Also, they won't do it if you have bd'ed so make sure you tell them you haven't and try not to.

Well I called and yes I need to schedule it day 6-10, which just happend to be New Years weekend and I can't get an appointment
For those that had it done, where did you go? I really really want to get it this cycle and not wait another month

I went to a Radiology place in Lake Success right next to LIJ hospital. My RE's office gave me a list of places to call.

I had my HSG done at St. Catherine's in Kings Park. That was because my insurance doesn't cover Radiology in full unless it's performed in a hospital. They do HSGs on Fridays and Mondays, I think. It was really easy to get an appointment. One good thing about doing it at the hospital was a MD did it so he interpreted while I watched on the screen. I don't know if all Radiology places use a MD to do this procedure - they may.
If you can access your health insurance company's website, you can usually narrow down to a speciality and go from there.

all I remember is that it was a guy with glasses, after a while I"ve had so many drs dealing with my privates that I can't keep track of them
