I read somewhere their arent many oompa loompah's. In the original movie their were 10 and in this movie their are 2.  I love the oompah loompah's.
I want to read the books again. The 2nd one just freaked me out. It was SO weird. I don't think the oompah loompahs were that significant, and NOTHING is as cutesy in the books as it is in the musicla version..I do love both...
but I'm also one of the HP fans who is still fuming over the padfoot, progns, moony and wormtail thing..so i may not be the one to ask !

Well, exactly, it's going to be completley differnt. it's not going to be this colorful musical where the chocolate factory is like hersheypark/disneyland. You know the boat scene "is it raining is it snowing? etc.." I think the new movie is going to be more along those lines. In the books WW was always saying creepy stuff like that. I think it's going to be creepy! It's Tim Burton! There will be no " the candyman can!"

I like the cutesy stuff. I love the part at the end when WW is telling Charlie how he cant go on forever and someone has to take care of the factory and watch over the oompah loompah's. Who an adult, they'll only want to do it their way.
And Charlie gets all weepy asks if his Grandpa Joe can come and Mr. Wonka says "grandpa Joe, everyone. The whole family" then charlie hugs Mr. Wonka.
hits you in just the right spots. What a great feel good movie 
Makes you just want to own a thousand wonka bars

I'm looking foward to it. As people have said, this will be a much darker version, so we really can't even compare the two.
Tim Burton & Johnny Depp make a great team, I will keep an open mind & hopefully enjoy it!
No "Pure Imagination" in this one though.

I ABSOLUTELY cannot wait!!! I have been looking forward to this movie for six months now!! I love the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp team and I love that it is going to be dark and creepy. Nobody does creepy like those two....July 25 can't come soon enough!!

Also for the depp lvoers, I don't remeber anything about it, but disney is coming out with an animatede movie (looks a lot like TNMBC, but i think it might be CG and not clay) and I saw the lead guy and I said "that's gotta be johnny depp! and it is. i think it's an animated burton.depp combo! very exciting
