Question about high blood pressure

I am not sure this is the right board to ask this but,
I just found out i have hig blood pressure, first he wants me to exercise more and eat better, if that doesn't work he will prescribe a medication. My DH and i are going to ttc next year and i was just wondering how is this going to affect ttc and what kind of complications does this cause during pregnancy.

How high is it? Sometimes just going to the Dr to gte your pressure taken can give you high blood pressure. Watch your salt intake.

It was high, i went in a few times to have it checked. I thought it was nerves too but my doctor doesn't think so. He's running all tehse tests, to make sure its just high blood pressure and not caused by anything else. And i barely use any salt so there is not much to cut out. I think i am going to start going back to the gym. Thanks
