I personally would let her cry for a few minutes. I wouldn;t go running up to get her as soon as she makes peep. She has to learn for to sooth herself soon.

Depends on the baby. You can judge whether she is simply fussing or if she seems distressed.

I started Talia just before 4 months and it worked wonderfully.
Every baby is different - but I think the older they get the harder it is.

I agree- I started Ryan- like the week before he became 4 months...
I can totally tell the difference in his cries.... So I know what nights, he really needed me, and nights I could let him CIO....
After vacation, and him sleeping with us in bed for 2 weeks...I had to start the whole CIO process again- and it was much more difficult than the 1st time...

Re: Is 4 months old too young to let her cry at night?
well...as we speak, she is screaming and she stops when I give her the pacifier back
ETA: I do this between4-8 times a night BEFORE we even give up and bring her into our bed where she sleeps JUST FINE and WITHOUT the pacifier (she spits it out when she is out-out)
