Does anyone know how to reset cablevisons dvr box?
NONE of my movie channels work, it says not authorized, but all the other stations do, and my internet is fine.
I call and the woman says my signal is fine, she is resettting the signal and it will work in half an hour.
An hour later, still not working, so I call back , and they say the signal is not good (allof a sudden?) and they can't send a tech until MONDAY.
It doesn't seem to make sense that I watched Curb Your Enthusiasm at 7:30 on HBO and then the station just went blank, and now the signal is bad for only the premium channels? HUH?
Anyway, I remember once they told me how to reset the box. Hold 2 buttons down or something...anyone know??? PLEASE?

unplug it for about 2 mins. from the back of the unit itself, not the outlet. then plug it back in and do not touch it till it shows the time back on it hope that helps
eta: you might have to do it 3 times before it reboots

Yes you unplug the power source(not the elect plug) to the back of the box( it de statics it)re -connect it cbox and then you hold the source button down until it says boot and then you do one of these I do this and it works! Good Luck It tends to collect static and you need to clear that ....

it might take 3 times to do it. if not then maybe your box went bad with this weather... my mom is also having major problems with her phone and cable and computer

this sounds like your signal (code on their end) is wrong...CV reps don't know what they are doing half the time...ask for a direct manager to clear this up
