is ur job a "job" or a "career"
i really like where i work...good pple for the most part, nice money, benefits, easy commute.. but i wonder sometimes if its ok that its a job that mainly pays my bills and i like but it has no substance... yes its admin work in a nice company but it has nothing to do with my major and i sometimes feel like its expected that i do more with myself..but if im happy most of the time then that should be enuff??

Career. I'm doing what I went to school for and what I like to do.
That's not to say I'll be doing the same thing for the same company forever. I'm not a "lifer", but I would def. say that my job is more a career than just a job.

I would say career. However, I didn't exactly "go to school" to do this. I sort of fell into it and now I love it.

yes its admin work in a nice company but it has nothing to do with my major and i sometimes feel like its expected that i do more with myself.
I could have written that word for word. I'm an administrator too and definitely feel like this is a job, not a career. My problem is, I don't know what I want my career to be. There are other things that interest me, but I'd be an entry level person, and that won't work with our bills. I feel stuck.

I could not have said it better myself, mine is a JOB not a Career...I feel like I am just wasting my talents in a way...I dunno what I am gonna do but I know that I dont want to do this forever

Your "career" doesn't have to be what you went to school for.
I am working toward my career. I don't have a permanent job, but that's the nature of my field. I'm definitely working in the field of my career

career. i view a job as more of a stepping stone or a "fill-in".
