Digital Cameras
Iwould like to buy a digital camera, but know nothing about them. What kind of digital camera do you have? Approximately how much does it cost? Are you happy with the quality of pics? Have you had any problems with the camera? TIA.

IMO.. Canons are really good, I got a really nice small, compact one for 299 and the pics r fabulous...i recommend NOT getting a fuji--i had sooo many problems with them it was ridiculous..and if ur going to buy one..i would also NOT go to BEST BUY, they gave me such grief on my camera when it broke and blamed me for it, when i had a recurring problem 3 and 4 times

I have to agree that Canon is great!
Unfortunately I just lost my current camera recently. I left it in a cab on the way to a wedding! 
We are looking into purchasing a new camera shortly. It will definately be another Canon!!!

If you can get to the city, I recommend B&H. They really know their stuff there!

I have a Canon Digital Rebel. I can't complain...so far so good with the pics. The only problem is that it's not exactly a "purse camera".  (It's on the bulky side.)
I believe we paid about 1K for it at Best Buy, but that was a few years ago when it first came out. They've come down quite a bit in price these days.

I love my camera. It is a Kodak 5 MPX. My only complaint is that there is a HUGE pause between when I hit the button & when the camera takes the pic. This has resulted in an entire gallery of pics of dog butts & blurry heads.
I hear the new Fuji is supposed to eliminate that problem, but I do not have first-hand experience.

I LOVE my new camera. I got the Canon SD450.
I got it from Dell online.. at the time they had the cheapest price (in November) because they had a promotion going on. Whatever you decide to buy, lok around. I got my camera for about $280 with shipping.. the same one was $400 in store at Best Buy the same day.

OK..I would like to get a new one as well..
The basic 's though...we spent about $250 on our Kodak....we love the Nikon's ( my dad has THREE!) but they average at 1K-$1200 ....IS it really truly worth it...and yes we take a lot of pictures.

You can't beat a SLR. What a difference!!!
ETA: Point-and-shoot cameras just don't get the "depth" that a SLR can get.

I have a Canon Powershot S70 and love it. I had an S50 and lost it while moving and wouldn't have thought of getting anything besides a Canon.
