spinoff to prenatals

anyone NOT taking prenatals - but rather taking a multi vitamin and a folic acid? I take a multi that contains 400mcg of folic and a folic acid that is also 400mcg. I was told thats ok but for some reason now I'm worried.

I wouldnt think there is anything wrong with what you are doing as long as your Dr. is ok with it.

It seems like everyone has a different opinion. For example, when I was TTC, my Dr. told me that is was fine for me to take a regular multi-vitamin, while I know its been other women's experience to be taking prenatals for several months before TTC.

IMO,as long as you are getting enough folic acid, and your DR. is ok with it, you are fine. If you are concerned, maybe talk to your Dr.

I have prima care - 2 pills, one AM one PM, I haven't taken the PM one in weeks, it makes me sick, even before bed. I should've called the Dr. a while ago, now I am just going to wait until next week's app't, I just hope the AM is the one with the folic acid.
