I live in Medford, and commute to Commack. With no traffic it takes me 25 min. I have not driven there wtih the morning traffic yet.
I am thinking like 45 min.

I live in Patchogue and would travel in to West Babylon by car. Coming home would inhale! Now I work 10 minutes away from my job and LOVE IT!

I live in Levittown and commute to Garden City, it takes about 20 minutes. However, in October, I start working out of Stony Brook, which is about an hour commute.

When I was teaching my commute was 15 minutes-no highways-just back roads-about 8 miles-lots of lights... I loved it!

I commute from Forest Hills to Valhalla, Westchester. 45 min. w/o traffic, and anywhere up to 3 hours with traffic!

I commute to Lake Success from Lindenhurst - about 45 minutes.
DH commutes to Chelsea - an hour and a half.

I go from N Massapequa to Smithtown... roughly 35 minutes (but i go in at 5 am)
before my DH passed he was commuting to East Meadow which was not nearly as bad

I used to live 3 minutes from work. It was so nice. We bought a house and now i'm about 45 minutes from work with no traffic, but it will probably end up taking more like an hour to an hour and a half.

I live in New Hyde Park and work in Stony Brook University Hosptial. My commute averages 1 hour 15 minutes. Although there have been record days when I got to work in 45 minutes at 5:30 in the morning. LOL
And yes I hate my commute. I should get myself a job at NSLIJ or somewhere closer.

i'm a realtor so i drive all over the place for work but my office is only about 10 minutes drive from my house. the nice thing is that i never HAVE to go to the office unless i have to turn in paperwork or something so basically my daily commute is about 10 feet into the next room (my home office). I LOVE MY JOB!

UGHHH Since I moved and switched schools its like 45 mintues and thats if traffic cooperates!!!
I dont mind the drive because it gives me time to decompress and all, but the traffic KILLS me!
