Anyone not have a house phone?
I am thinking of getting rid of my house phone and only using my cell phone. Anyone else only use a cell phone and not have a land line? I only pay $30 a month with cable so I wouldn't be saving a ton but why have it if we hardly use it? Any thoughts?

I've thought about this many times ... but I guess I'm just too old school!! I can't imagine not having a house phone!!!!

We don't have a house phone, and it really hasnt' been a problem. We have a family share cell phone plan with 800 peak minutes, and aside from the rare time that we go over, we have been fine.

I know I kinda feel the same way. But this phone is hooked up to cable and if the power goes out the phone goes out as well. And our cell phones have free long distance and more minutes then we can possibly use.

we did it for this for 3 years and it was great...only reason we had a home phone now (optimum voice) cause we signed up for a special so it was pretty much free

we have no home phone. About 2 or more years now just the cells...
took a month or two to get used to...

I wouldnt do it. Sometimes I dont want people to find me, but also (especially having a small child) I like knowing I can dial 911 and they will know automatically where I am.

DH wants to do that... but I just can't fathom not having a house phone.
