Personal Question...
Do you avoid oral sex during your fertile time when TTC? Or is the saliva being unfriendly to sperm something you don't worry about? Poll added for privacy!

#1 - I didnt even know this
#2 - Again I think about all of the unplanned pregnancies in this world and think that oral sex was PROBABLY part of the "festivities" that culminated in the creation of a child. I hate to be crude but think about it. How many babies were made after one drunk night complete with oral sex AND penetration?

Although, a lot of people also avoid smoking & drinking when TTC - and I'm sure a lot of unplanned pregnancies resulted after a night of partying that included those things. I guess it's just a matter of how far we want to take the things we avoid.
Don't get me wrong, I do agree with you, I just wondered, out of the ladies who are PLANNING their pregnancies, if this is something they avoid to increase chances.

We've never avoided it in the past, but we are avoiding it this month.
This might be TMI, but the oral sex is mostly for lubrication purposes when we are BDing (during ovulation). We are using Pre-seed this time.

I was told that the saliva can harm the sperm and to avoid it when you are actively BDing--so we have.
