Babies on solids: do they like the jars of meats?
Or do you mommies give your babies "homemade" meats? my son is almost 8 months old & he loves everything except for the jar of meats...(honestly, i don't think i would like them either...they smell gross!  )
he eats it but totally doesn't like it...so i'm hoping he will like "real" meat better if i grind it up...

That so-called meat that they sell in the gorcery stoe smells like dog food...blech!!!
I give Jared the gross meats in the jar...

Kevin loved meats best - believe it or not - my son loves his food. I never gave him the meats alone only the mixtures (by advice or friends and my ped.). Now he is starting on table food and still loves meat.

Andrew loved the jarred meats too, but I had to have them mixed with a veggie, or else he would not eat them plain.
Another option is to buy the Gerber simple recipes, like sweet potatoes and turkey and chicken and broccoli. THey are pretty decent as far as baby food goes.

Julia gets jar meats, she loves chicken noodle, turkey vegetable, beef and applesauce. She loves bananas so I mix the meet with that.

I made 80% of Molly's food. But she never, ever ate any meat from a jar. She is not a big fan of any meat though.

I just didn't have it in me to buy jars of meat. They just looked nasty. We would grind up meat instead.

The only thing I could get into Jacks mouth was the Chicken and Apples or Pears and Apples.

Nate likes all of them except for the chicken. I only give it him once or twice a week. Most of the time, I give him the dinners - Vegetable Beef/chicken, Chicken noodle, etc....
