I never lost mine but I think it was coming out a bit in the hospital while in labor. My sister, on the other hand, lost hers a couple of weeks before she gave birth (and she was induced almost a week early). From what I hear, you'll definitely know what it is.

I lost some of mine 2 weeks before (it was clear) then in the 2 days before more came out and it was tinged with a little blood.
You can tell what it is because it is different then what usually comes out.

I missed it I think....I had a few days where my discharge seemed thicker and creamier...never bloody though.

Yes, I lost it over two days. The doctor stripped my membranes and then the next two days, it started to come out. Not to be gross, but it looks like snot with blood in it.

i lost it last monday and tuesday, it was snotty but no blood. the doctor said tha means either a couple days or a week the baby could come. which is very vague.

I actually felt and heard a "pop" and wasn't sure what it was. About an hour later when I went to the bathroom I saw that snotty looking thing with some blood (gross!) I had my baby about eight hours later.

I lost mine 9 days before i had my baby, although i was induced. It came out onto my light days pad at like 5 am and it looked like a long glob of clear snot mixed with some blood.. sorry TMI I was questioning what it looked like too, and then when it came out, there was no questioning what it was...

I always wondered if I did - about a week before I had the baby (3 weeks early) - in the middle of the night I heard a plop in the toilet and was too tired to investigate or think anything of it esp since it was a month before my due date. After that my discharge changed - never bloody though - but very thick and different. Maybe it was - I have no clue.
