I have an issue with my class- need advice
Yesterday some of my students were playing a game that involved girls touching the rear ends of some of the boys. Needless to say, it got out of hand. I want to address it with them this afternoon but I am really at a loss about what to say. They're in 6th grade now so things are just going to get MORE hormonal next year, and since I will pretty much be teaching all of them again next year, I want to address this. But I don't really know what to say- the counselors and social workers are so swamped that I don't want to add to their load.

Re: I have an issue with my class- need advice
I would sit them down and do a class rules "refresher" lesson. Tell them it is the end of the year and we need to remind ourselves about the rules. make sure to emphasize "keeping our hands to ourself" and never touch, hit, pat etc. anyone even if it is a game.
Don't bring too much attention to it because it might make the matter more exciting to them. However if after warning and reminding them if they continue then you might want to contact parents. Good Luck
