mucinex? (tmi) UPDATE AT BOTTOM
I am sorry for all the questions re: me being sick guys..thankfully my fever has broken and now my body is only slightly achy and i have the heaviest coupgh with congestion.. i made an appt with my dr for tomorrow at 2:00 cause i definitly think i need antibiotics to clear up what ever is going on..a few pple recommended mucinex to me since i got sick and im curious--what is it? do i need a perscription? where do i buy it? and what will it do to me? will i be coughing up phlem all nite?? any help would be great, thanks!

JMO, but I would see your Dr first before taking anything. It might be a sinus infection that you have and u may need to be on something different.

I took it - it's over the counter. It made me cough up a ton of phelgm. For me, it was a temporary fix since I needed an antibiotic to clear it up.
(TMI) A co-worker used it - and swears it gave her the runs. I'm not sure how true that is because she's one of those people that make out things worse than they actually are.

Mucinex is OTC you can get ti at CVS or anything similar.
It's the same ingredients as robitussin, but for some reason, epople feel it works better. Also, I believe it's time released.
Depending on your symptoms, you choose the kind. When I had the same thing you have, my doc recommended Mucinex DM

Since im seeing my dr tomorrow i might as well wait until then, i dont want to take MORE meds then necessary cause at this point i feel naseous from all the temporary relief meds...--hopefully she will give me something to clear this all up.. Thank you

I just came back from the dr and I have bronchitis and a sinus infection..got some antibiotics so hopefully those will help. Thanks girls!!
