Picture People Review
I know the subject of pictures comes up fairly often so I thought I would share my experience with the Picture People.
On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 5. The girl who shot the pics was very nice and was great with Ava but she had her Halloween costume on (she is a bumble bee) and for one pic she put her against a dark green background and you can hardly see her. If the background was lighter it would have been an amazing pic.
The pics came out ok - nothing to go crazy over. I found that they were very blurry and out of focus. I had a gift certificate so I got a few just b/c they were cute but HOLY expensive. I didn't think it was worth the money at all. For $75 I got nothing other than an 8x10, a 5x7 and a few wallets.
For the future I will take a white sheet and drape it someplace in my house and have DH and I take the pics with our digital camera. At least those will be clear and they'll be much cheaper using Shutterfly!!!!!
Here is one pic that I ordered - thought this one was the best out of all of them.

Yikes. Thanks for sharing. I'm supposed to be taking Jake there next weekend. I thought they weren't that expensive. That's the same price as BRU. 
Any other reviews on this place?

I recently went to JC Penney's and had Jared's picture taken. I decided to use them because I had a gift card with leftover $$ on it. I got a 59.99 package which was 8 shots. I chose to do 4 with special effects and 4 regular. I also got 2 additional pictures at the 3.99 a sheet price. So I paid about 73.00 and got 4 8x10, 3 5x7, 19 wallets and a 11x 15 with 3 photos and an enhancement.
I pick them up this Saturday. I think they came out cute but they didn't do any cute props or backgrounds.

I hate PP for the same reason.. but I am so bad that I just get my free picture and thats it... and sometime will buy one sheet.. theu can be really expensive..

Ava is just too cute for words!
And I hear you about the picture places. Last year, I draped a red sheet up and took Andrew's Christmas pictures myself, had the cards made at Shutterfly and they were the best ever!

I used PP for Nick's pics when he was 2 months old - I did not like them. I thought that they did not spend enough time to get good shots, and then charged me an arm and a leg for mediocre pics. I recently went to Target for his 1 year pics and was very happy!

I used to work at Picture People a couple of years ago and back then, their prices were actually really good. So, I had a coupon and I went there, thinking the prices were probably about the same as when I worked there... WRONG! They really upped their prices. The prices are now completely unreasonable for a photo place that doesn't even train their photographers properly
