chop meat-how long can it stay in the fridge?
It's never been frozen, and it hasn't been opened.....I bought it sunday morning.....can I wait to cook it tomorrow night, or do I have to cook it tonight? or do I have to freeze it? whatcha think?

i usually buy on sunday and make through friday.
ETA: What's the sell-by date? I go by that.

I buy chop meat all the time on sunday and make it anytime between monday-friday, its fine!! I just wouldn't leave it longer than one week...you would know instantly if its gone bad.

i would not do more than 4 days. I always freeze as soon as I buy meat if I do not plan on using it within 48 hours
