I am getting impatient!!
I really wanna go for my 1st OB appt... and get a sono, but I am only 5 weeks and a couple of days...My appt is for Tuesday, and I will be 6 weeks, then... should I switch it to this week, or just leave it for tuesday? I know my DR will do a sono... would they even be able to see anything this early???

they usually want it then b/c they can see more on a sono. there is not much there to see otherwise so if i were u i would leave it - its more exciting when u can actually start to make out the head arms and body!!!!

I agree that you should leave it. also, at the point you will be, there is a chance that you still won't see much.

You should leave it my first appt is at 8 weeks on Sept. 15th. I really dont want to wait that long and i am so excited. Especially since i have really no major symptoms. I just want to see my little pooka (my DH is big pooka)
The doc office told me i will have:
blood work
sono
internal
do and donts walkthrough
hear/see the heartbeat
They told me i wouldnt see anything really before 8 weeks.

I went to the doctor at 7 weeks and they did not do a sono. I went back at 10w, 4d and got my first sono. I did not hear the heartbeat but they told me it was 174. I am going back in 3 weeks and will hear the heartbeat then....have fun and I know it is hard to be patient. I was so anxious for my first sono

Leave it because you probably won't see anything anyway. I went at 5 weeks and saw nothing but the yolk sac. A week later I went back and were able to see the baby and it's heartbeat. Amazing what a week can do.

Leave it for Tuesday. My first appt is 9/25 when I will be 8 weeks. However, I get my sono on 9/18 and I had all of bloodwork completed today.
So at my first OB appt on 9/25, all results will be in and dr will go over everything with me then.
So when we are this early (5wks), I think it is normail to wait between 6 to 8 weeks for appts. 
Its hard but the wait will pay off in the end.
