Day 28 and no positive OPK yet

Is it possible that I just missed my O day with the OPK? I have been testing daily since day 13 (its day 28 today) and have not had a surge yet. My temps say I O'd three days ago but the sticks don't tell me anything.

Did anyone else ever have this or have any ideas why this would be happening?

its possible yes. This month we were trying naturally ( before moving on to IVF) and I think I missed mine as well.

Day 28 is very late to O unless you have had long periods in the past , then it might not be. But if your periods are that long to begin with ( over 35 days apart) theres a good chance your not ovulating anyway.



Do you temp? Thats the best way to know if you clearly ovulated.

I posted last night that after much frustration and sticks used, I finally got a dark double line on day 19. I hear that there are many outside factors each month that determine when we O. But my doctor said to call if I did not O by day 22-23. maybe give your doctor a call to just make sure all is OK. its very possible that you missed when you O'd. my girlfriend actually got PG (very shocked) because she O'd two days after her period ended!!

I started out using the Clearblue Easy OPK, used all ten (from Costco) and then bought the kit from Duane Reade. I also think I may not be doing such a good job using them, because I can't go without drinking water all day, and therefore I can't go four hours without peeing!

I chart on Fertility Friend, and it says that I O'd three days ago, according to my temps. If I did not ovulate, would I still have a temperature shift? I hope FF is right, because those were the days that DH and I were very "diligent"

ETA: Last month my cycle was 33 or 36 days long (depending on whether or not the first few days of spotting actually counted), so yes, I have a kind of long cycle, it seems. I am also just 4 months off of the pill now.

A temp shift is a sure sign of ovulation .

actually your OPK can be positive and you not ovulate, but a temp shift is always a clear sign !!

a clear and sustained thermal shift is a definite sign of ovulation. I would use that infomation over the OPK anyday.
