Yes - 100% sure. I used to waitress to pay my bills when I was younger and I know how hard it is - hard work and its hard kissing a$$ to all the customers all the time LOL
The only time I'm not a good tipper is when service totally s u x.

I also agree with Mrs. J...we are good tippers, but if the service stinks, then we dont tip as good.

generally, i'd say average. i tip my hair dresser good b/c she has a good job. i don't think i go over the 15%-20%

Yes!... i used to bartend, so i know how appreciated it is. But, if its noticeably horrible service, then no.. i dont just tip then just for the sake of tipping.

I consider myself an average tipper. I don't think tipping in the 15% - 20% range (which is where I normally tip) qualifies as being a "good" tipper, that's JMO. I think to qualify as a good tipper you'd have to consistently tip over 25%, I don't always have the money for that. Though my DH always tips generously... even too generously sometimes, IMO when the service didn't call for such a generous tip.

Yes, but not when the service is subpar. I used to wait tables myself so I know it's hard. Though if the service is bad and the server is apologetic and explains (i.e. there was a backup in the kitchen or the person is new), I will give a good tip. Whereas is the server is snotty, I won't leave as good a tip.

Yes, I waitresses throughout college and grad school so I appreciate how hard service industry people work. normally I give at least 20%.
If I get bad service I always say something before I get the check.
