Cingular VENT!!!! UPDATED!!!!!! JODI(john) IS THE BEST!!!!!!!
 they want 300 dollars to cancel his line because there is still another year in the contract I told them I want a manager and now I have to wait, after being on the phone with the dumb bells for an hour I am so ready to switch my service and take along with me all my friends who have them and I do have a lot with them!

Are they kidding, that's ridiculous. I have Cingular as well, but I don't have a contract because I was originally with At & T then they merged or I'd check to see what mine says. Keep us posted and I hope they work this out for you.

I wish I was! I am SO ****** !!!!!!!! The guy was a dumb bell! OK I was getting a little nasty but that was after I told him the same info 3 times! phone #(yes cell) ,address, my name umm look at your screen! oh my gosh this guy was an idiot!!!!!!!!! i said I will not pay that and before I even though about paying it I would switch companies take all my friends with me and you can take me to court ! he said it would be an hour to get a call back it's now been 1 hour!

I would call again since it has been an hour. The phone was in Keith's name or yours? Regardless if it was a family plan then you should be able to cancel his phone without a problem even if you have to send a copy of his death certificate.

the contract was in his name. i did send in a copy1 i have been dealing with this for a month now! and i am so close to cancelling! i never had 1 late payment, and this is how i get treated

My mother had the hardest time cancelling her and my dad's phone (Verizon) after my father passed away. They never threatened to charge her for cancelling but they kept sending bills even after she called countless times. You would think they would be more understanding given the situation. Sorry

I had issues with Sprint and lodged a complaint with the BBB. they respond!

When my mom passed away, I called her cell phone carrier (which was Sprint) told them who I was and that my mom has passed away and that I would like to cancel her service. The only thing my dad had to do was pay her last bill and then after that they have not bothered him. They did not even ask for a copy of her death certificate.
