Looking for cheap, educational videos
I am starting an after school group for 6th grade girls, and looking for videos on body image, self esteem, eating disorders. All of these educational videos are sooooo expensive. Anyone know a good place or website to find them?

Amy, I don't know a website offhand, but I did a whole curriculum on an eating disorders/body image group for sixth graders!!! I'll look for it if you want - maybe you'll like some of the activities...

I actually got to see "Dying to be Thin" in a class Im taking on Wednesday. It was good, but all of these videos are like $100!!

Does Blockbuster have any of those types of videos or DVD's? THat you could rent and then copy for your library?

How about your local library? They usually have educational videos, or the resources to order some.
Great idea by the way! Good luck with it - it's such an important topic!!

Maybe you can get in touch with the appropriate department in the county or some non profits that promote awareness in these areas? They might have a library of them that you can borrow.

Thanks everyone. I just looked at all the Nassau libraries and found Dying to be Thin, as well as several books I wanted.
