I got engaged three years ago tomorrow 12/8

I cant belive how time flies. i remember it like it was yesterday. her is the post i wrote about it on LIW. So funny to go back and read my own posts.




Well after this story one might wonder why he still proposed LOL
My bday was 12/13 and he kept saying lets go see the tree and i was like "NO way i hate the city to begin with and its going to be so crowded on a friday two weeks before xmas!" So he dropped that and tried to get me to go on thursday the night before my birthday and i was still like NO WAY i hate the city plus I have class and it will be late when we get there and so on and so on. So the weekend before this was turing in to a major fight( why couldnt i just go b/c he really wanted to see the tree, BLAH BLAH BLAH) so on sunday 12/8 he was going to the ranger game, before he left he said lets go to dinner when i get back and stop fighting so i said fine. he picks me up and i ask him where we are going to eat ( he was driving towards the city and i live in bayside, there are tons of places to eat in Bayside) He kept saying we are going where I WANT TO GO!!! so stupid me doesnt realize what were doing until we are at the 59th street bridge. i still had no idea just thought he was trying to prove it was not so bad going to the city.At this point i was laughing b/c i couldnt belive he kidnapped me just to see the tree in rockafellar center!!
So we get ther and we are looking at the tree and he says" through all this fighting did you ever think i wanted to bring you here to ask you sonmething?" i said No i never did why? And he took the ring from his pockert and asked me to marry him!!! As he likes to tell the story I cried for two minutes and giggled the whole way home!! I didnt say yes for quite a while !! :)
I felt so horrible after i realized that he was trying to make our enagagemnt special and i had to be such a pain in the ***!!

wow, I too got engaged under the tree in Rockefeller Center on December 8th! But in 2000 (5 years ago tomorrow)! It was a Friday night after the office christmas party and my DH met me in the city. It was exactly 10 p.m. when he asked me! So special!
