I'm getting nervous...
The layoffs have begun... they fired 4 people and demoted another yesterday. All administrative support, and I'm sure the next round will be attorneys. We just bought a new house, and we simply cannot afford for me to be out of work... I'm applying for new jobs everyday but no bites yet. Like I really needed the added stress...

Can you think about working from home- would that be an option?
I worked at a place that fired people all the time- seriously- the turnover rate was insane. I know what a crappy environment that can be, so I hope you get good news.

First off, you don't know if you will get laid off. So nothing to worry about yet.
Second, if you do get laid off, it may be a blessing in disguise. You may get a good package and get the heck outta of firm that has made you miserable and seems to have no conscience.
Whatever happens, it will all be for the best.

Beth, Like Jenn said things will work out. I've been laid off twice, the last time I was 5 months pg and we were closing on our house in 10days..... It was a stressful time, but I hated my job so in a way I was happy not to be there. Remember everything happens for a reason.

Everything will be fine... Things happen for a reason... My firm just merged with another firm and everyone is running scared here as well... Don't put yourself under any undo stresss!!! If it happens better things will come your way!
