A new home gift-to give
My BF lives in boston and just purchased a townhouse and I wanted to send something to congratulate them.
A gift for the home not flowers or plants.
Also something that can be shipped directly would be great.
Any suggestions?
I looked at Lillian Vernon but I didnt see anything that I liked on there.

SHE WOULD LOVE IT and her DH would Hate it!!
At their wedding, there was a Yankee ice sculpture and a Boston one.
And they made the BM's carry the NY Yankee flags and the groomsmen carry the Boston flag.
Can you tell they are hard core fans?

Omaha steaks is a great gift.
You can also send them a gc, so they can pick what they want.

They have really nice gift baskets on the yankee candle website. Nothing better to warm a house then candles!

The wine of the month club, etc. suggestion is good. I was going to say something personalized from lillian vernon but you already looked there.
I know people who have gotten those personalized quilts/ throws and they love them!

I love the candle basket and maybe a gift card to Lowe's or Home Depot. I know we really appreciated those gift cards when we moved into the new house.

Hey Deb!!
I know people don't like to give gift cards and what not because they think its "impersonal". However, we just moved into our new townhouse...and our best gifts are certificates to home depot, pier 1, and candles.(then again...I am a candle and scent freak!)
In a new house there are always empty spots to decorate and places for improvement...so I vote on the GC to a Lowe's or a Pier 1 or something like that. HTH

The best gift we received were Home Depot Gift cards.
As a matter of fact they were all used the day after our party by noon.
One neighbor brought us a bottle of tequila and another a bottle of Absolute... ummmm... we don't drink that stuff and our friends and relatives don't either. They will be in the wine collection for a long time.

When we moved into our house my best friend got us new address labels with matching "We've Moved" cards and personalized stationary. Very unique and great. I loved them so much I joined the company that sells them. If you like FM me and I'll give you my website address. The address labels are the one where you pick the head images that look like the people in your family. At the time she even included our dog. Since then I have ordered many more things from them being that over the years my family has grown.

Gift cards to Home Depot, Target, or Lowes, Linens n Things are great!
A physical gift....bottle of wine, welcome mat, gardening tools, throw blanket (if you know the color scheme), candles...
