Home security Companies
Need to get a good home security service to
install a new alarm. Which is best hard wired
or wireless. I'm new to this. People mention
Slomins, Honeywell, Dart, ADT,Brinks. Live
in Plainview.....anyone use these. I guess I
am interest in how quick the response is, and
how soon they come for a service call if needed.

we are using ADT - our house already came with a security system that was hard wired and we added a few more things - all hard wired. The process took 2 days and the system is easy to use, however i have heard that sometimes you get better service with smaller companies.

we have ADT and its a wireless system. We each got a remote control that arms and disarms the system. its pretty cool.

We have Slomins. ADT is more expensive than we wanted to spend. I like Slomins, haven't had any problems. Don't have any of the fancy feature, like talking systems or remotes though.

We plan to use Slomins. They install for free if you contract w/ them for 5 years.
ETA: My parents use General Security, they are supposed to be good, but are more $$

We use Alarm.com -- it is a totally wireless system, easy to install, less expensive than some other companies and we haven't had any problems with it.

We use Slomins. I called them a few times when the alarm was first installed and they had a very good service department to handle things in a timely fashion!

we have brinks and i love it they are so on top of it i set it off once by mistake getting ot of the shower and the firemen and poilce were at my house in the 2 min it took me to grab shorts and a shirt embarrassing but efficient
