I always wonder the same thing. What good are pictures when you can't see past the mess. My other favorites are when there's 3 pictures of outside the property but none inside.

That is sad. Because that house could be nice. The kitchen looks like it has good bones.
It is so hard when looking to look past clutter & dirt and bad decorating. My dad always reminded us that wall color and carpeting and stuff is easy to change. That you have to look past all that. Funny how the house we ended up purchasing was a blank canvas - all white walls & beige carpeting.

That was a huge turnoff for me...like there is something to hide
The worst was I went to see a house and there was sooooo much cr@p that I had to step over clothes & through piles of filled garbage bags just to look in the rooms. it was an 8 room house & I was sooo schkeeved by the 2nd room that I left. It reminded me of the Friends episode when Ross dated that hot chick that was a slob. Image Attachment(s):

Sometimes the realtor comes over without giving notice - and they take pics. Happened to a friend of mine. Her daughter was home and didnt clean up and they didnt know the realtor was coming that day. But still - how can you live that way?

Actually, those pics aren't too bad. I went to one house and I actually had to walk out and ended up puking on the front lawn and I don't get "sick" easily.
Once you start looking at houses you'll be amazed at how disgusting people are. I have stories that could make your head spin and I looked in Commack, Northport, East Northport, Smithtown......desireable areas that most people would never think would be like that. However, people are slobs and figure if someone wants the house bad enough they'll overlook it.

gross! If that's what you're putting out there to sell your house, then you're pretty much telling all prospective buyers "We are slobs and don't care"! This reminds me of that house for sale down the street from us - horrible condition, and the inside pics showed such a MESS!! Ew - to me, that's a poor reflection on both the seller and their realtor, I would not even want to bother with people like that. What a turn off!

That makes even less sense then...the realtor should know that pictures like that are not appealling.

Its just nasty though.. If you are going to be selling your house why not keep it clean. I understand people can stop in whenever so keep it clean. We looked in a house in flordia the doors had wholes in them and the house was gross. We walked right out. Why wouldn't you fix that before selling.
Scott we arent really "looking" Weve been looking online. we are going to florida the end of the month to look a little there too.
