Another MIL issue

My husband and I agreed that if we have a boy he will name him and if it's a girl I will name her. So everytime my mil calls she asks him "have you guys picked a name yet" and he always says not if it's a boy. so now she is trying to convience him to use his name or his fathers name. both names are ugly !!! even my own hubby hates his name. she is getting on my nerves !!! sorry vent over.

I've dealt with the same issues as far as the name goes. My MIL had a whole bunch of names she thought we should use. Everything we liked, she'd make fun of. I finally told her that she had had the opportunity to name her own kids and now DH and I were going to name our kids what we liked. I told her we appreciated the suggestions, but ultimately it was our choice and if she didn't like the name I preferred she keep it to herself. It turns out she's ok with the name we chose but my FIL and my mother don't like it. Oh well, too bad. They're just going to have to get used to it because their grandson will be named Luca.

Fortunately, when we have our first child, we only have to worry about Hebrew names. It would be a cold day down below before I let anyone dictate or even suggest what I will call my child in English.
