restaurants in smithtown
hey ladies and gents
im meeting up with some friends tonight at the Horse and Jockey in Smithtown later - DH and i want to grab dinner beforehand -- but are not from the area and have no ideas...
any suggestions?

Old Street Pub - Casual
Smithtown House - German, Moderately priced
Baja Grill- Casual
Faraday's - Casual
Right next to Faraday's is a Mexican restaurant but I forget the name.
All of these are on Main Street.

2nd vote for Casa Rustica. There is also a good mexican restaurant right near Molly Bloom's but I am drawing a blank as to the name.

It was the last time I was there...It's German with a contential flare....I think Pumpernickle's is better though.

Oh because the new owner is Irish,....but maybe they kept the menu

In the same shopping ctr w/ Old Street (right next door, actually), is Buona Sera. Same owners as La Scala in Commack, O Sole Mio in Stony Brook, Olio in Commack, and Caffe Amici in Selden....REALLY good, but inexpensive italian.
All the restaurants over there pack the people in on Fri and Sat nights - maybe call ahead?

I second these, but I may be biased too, my dad's friend owns Casa Rustica and my dad used to be the chef at La Famiglia.
