So at 4 months we finally tried cereal..

and Shannon is not a fan.. last night she screamed and spit it out all over.. thismorning was a little better but I guess it will get easier.. did anyone else have this problem??

Not the screaming but the spitting yes. I do spoon of cereal and follow it by a shot of formula....works great Nice and messy isn't it??

It will probably take some time before she likes it. Not all babies like it the first few times, but if you are persistant and keep offering it she'll eventually be a fan.

Christopher started cereal exactly 2 weeks ago. Here's how it went:

First day - screaming, crying, he absolutely hated it

Second day - he locked his lips shut and REFUSED to let me feed him

Third day - I was finally able to get a good spoonfull into his mouth, and he swallowed and realized it was food. His eyes got big and he opened his mouth really wide. For the rest of the feeding I couldn't shovel the food in fast enough. He would cry inbetween spoons because I wasn't quick enough!

Hang in there. It gets better!

thanks ladies. she is getting there.. and this morning my hubby put the spoon to his lips and she put on a face like hey it must be good

I am starting cereal in two weeks. I can't wait to see how it takes it. As it is now when I eat in front of him he looks at me like "give me some." I hope it goes well.
