Cafee Grapa in East Meadow...

I am considering this for my shower. My dh knows two of the owners and yet we have never been..We are goign to go next saturday after we get our taxes done for lunch to check it out. Any opinions?Anyone ever been for a shower or party?Do they have a seperate room?

DH's mother's surprise 50th b-day party was there a few years ago. We weren't in a separate room, but more of a separate section, all the way to the right when you walk in, if I remember correctly. I am not sure if there is a separate room, as it has been a few years since I was there. Their food is excellent.

My sisters bridal shower was there---just recently in like september/october. I highly recommend them. The food was wonderful, the price was good and they are so nice and helpful. They have the main restraunt part in the front and a smaller room in the back. The gave us the entire restraunt front part and moved the furniture any way we wanted. They will play with the menu/food however you like and the food was very very very good. I have never just eaten dinner or lunch there but I definitly would after our experience with them.

I had my rehearsal dinner there two years ago. Great food. We were in the separate room in the back. Lovely atmosphere. The service was very slow though- took a very long time to prepare all the entrees & get them out at the same time to 30 people. I didn't regret it though.
