Airline shooting...Why is it everytime I have to fly....
I hear bad things about planes? Last night with Nip/Tuck, and now this...

Not sure if it makes it any better for you but the shots were fired by the air marshall, not the suspect.

A federal air marshal shot and wounded a passenger on the Jetway connecting an American Airlines plane to Miami International Airport, sources told CNN. The marshal's action came after threatening action by the passenger, a federal government official said. The Federal Air Marshals Service confirmed a marshal fired his weapon while the Boeing 757 -- which was en route form Medellin, Colombia, to Orlando, Florida -- was on the ground at Miami.

Somebody please tell why this is always American?????????? My dad works for American and the everytime their business is in the news about something bad, it always affects my father (always talk about layoffs, no raises) 
I feel so bad for him

I feel the same way!! I have to fly in early January and I'm already nervous - Nip/Tuck, the crash in Iran and now this.
Before our honeymoon flight to Hawaii, LOST started and I was freaked!!
And last time I was supposed to fly for work the wheel carriage of my plane broke when we were pushing back from the gate and our plane couldn't take off.

It's the fact that a man was screaming that he had a bomb... I would be panicking the second the words left his mouth!

That is one scarey story! Im SOOO nervous about getting on a plane with my babies because of things like this. BUT on a better note Im glad the air marshalls are doing their jobs!!!

I feel the same way, too. I HATE flying because I am not "driving the plane". I don't like it when other people drive me around, let alone fly a plane. 
Plus, seeing what happened on 9/11 (I was a few blocks away) makes me always feel uneasy when flying.
