Richard Hatch from Survivor
He is at risk for going to prison for not paying taxes on his winnings from Survivor. He claims that CBS was supposed to pay the taxes, and can possibly face up to 75 years in prison.

That's exactly what I was saying to DH when I heard this this morning! I mean, I am NO fan of Richard Hatch, but I seriously don't think it makes any sense when there are people really hurting people and destroying other peoples lives who are in jail for all of 5 minutes!
I'm sure he won't get that, but still, the fact that he could!!!

He's an idiot. If he won $1 million, I'd think he could afford a CPA to make sure all his bases are covered.
As for the penalties, I think violating Federal laws results in much stiffer penalties across the board. We have a friend who works for the Fed. Govt. and he says if there is a disturbance in the office, and the workers have to call for help, federal marshalls come and just take the troublemakers off in cuffs, no questions asked.
