cold & sore throat

I feel so sick I have a runny nose, sore throat, low grade temp and feel achy all over. I am so worried this will affect my baby. Has anyone else been sick while preggo?

Yes I did when I was 8 weeks. The doctor gave me Z-Pack and said to try and wait it out - I did for 5 days and still didn't get better. I took it and immediately felt better. It was one of the approved medicines. Go see your doc and feel better!

You wont' do any harm to the baby, just don't take anything without approval from the dr.

I got really sick at 32 weeks, worst sore throat and cold ever! I took tylenol, halls, and some sudafed to ease the symptoms.

I also ate a teaspoon of honey to coat my throat.

I had the flu at 9 weeks. Take Tylenol every 4 hours until you feel better and drink TONS of water. Call you doc if you dont feel better in a few days.

I'm right there with you. My dr gave me a list of things I could take for different symptoms, but said she wanted me to call if I developed a fever or it got much worse.

Cold + morning sickness = not fun!

I was really sick at 14 weeks, but eventually it just went away, it's just so hard not to take medicine!
