meeting with the IVF Coordinator today.....UPDATE!!!!
Boy, this board is slowly dying, so when I get back from the RE today I will bore

So, I see why people take time off. DH walked out of there
I finally made ALL my appointments.
DH and I had lots of blood taking, for HIV, Hepatitis and other genetic diseases.
Then they took a culture sample from me, I guess to see that I dont have any bacterial infections or STD's.
Then we discussed the whole process.
I have to have so much more done to me in the next 2 weeks before I can start my Lupron, Bravelle (he is keeping me on) and Menapur(not sure if I spellled that right)
I also have to take estogen patches and Progesterone oils after the transfer. I have another injection class tomorrow and we still have to have done:
Updated pap smear
Mammogram
IVF Stress Management Session
Water sonogram (I have to take antibiotics the day before so there will be no infection) This is to check the endometrium and uterine wall
DH has to have another updated semen analysis
Consent session to go over how many embryos you want retrieved, or if you want to preserve any eggs, which my insurance will preserve up to 6 months.
I know Im missing stuff. But DH and I are SO OVERWHELMED. Im going to be on so many drugs, Jay said I will be glowing
They gavce me an estimated calendar on retrievals and tranfers but could change due to levels. It is just a lot to take in. Sorry it is so long. I knew this is a very lengthy process, but didnt know how extensive it is.
Im just waiting for the pharmacy to call with my big co-pay bill

That's a LOT of information!!
I would have had to bring a tape recorder with me!!!

You do though sound like your handling it well.

Take it one step (appointment) at a time, and there is NO RUSH....take things slow and it will all be ok...

Ahhh Diane, lots of It all sounds totally overwhelming but I am sure with the guidance you are getting and patience and not to mention the drugs, everything will work out just wonderfully in the end.

One guy in our injection class DID bring in a tape recorder!
Diane, don't worry! It is a lot to have to go through, but your nurse will keep you on track.
