REPOST: Legal Question....
Hello All!!! Hope everyone is doing very well. I have a legal question.
I left my position as an Executive Recruiter for one firm about a month ago. Our website used to have blurbs about each of the recruiters. I wrote up my own. They have then replaced my desk with a new recruiter and have just inserted her name onto my blurb.
I emailed the President of the company and she has yet to respond and has failed to change it. Is there anything I can do legally?
I know it sounds petty but my issue is that I am now with a new firm and we're big competitors. I now have to come up with a whole new blurb for this new website and I really really really spent lots of time on the one I had beforehand.
It is also about principal. It's wrong to do that.
Any help?

Re: REPOST: Legal Question....
Hi Stacy
From the sounds of what you wrote, it does not sound that what your old firm is doing is illegal.. kinda sh!itty of them, yes, but its probably out of pure laziness that they just inserted the new recruiters name into the description you had written, and saved themseves some time
As long as this person is not misrepresenting herself and including any qualifications YOU may have included in that description (that she is now taking credit for perhaps) I think what they are doing is legal, unfortunately
Sorry

Re: REPOST: Legal Question....
Not much you can do because your blurb was placed on their website (something that they own).
But I am sure you will come up with something even better!

Good point ... if its their website, they own it and can use the description you had written
But I am sure you will come up with something even better!
Ditto!!
