I didn't like it at all. It didn't really 'work' for us.

Re: anyone read the baby whisperer?

I refused ot read it being that the author claims to have this insight into babes, meanwhile her kids were taken away from herChat Icon , what's up woth that? She had some screwed up past history, so couldn't take her advice seriously

I read it. It made sense to me.

It discusses the different types of personalities that babies have - which most moms don't recognize at first. We all think babies are babies but the fact is some of them are more sensitive, more easy going, etc. I guess when you think about it, it's not rocket science since adults have different personalities.

There is a section on getting your baby to sleep at night, pacifier use, schedules. It made me realize I was misreading my son's cues thinking he was hungry, etc.

Very, very helpful IMO.

Re: anyone read the baby whisperer?

I read it and have taken away some really good suggestions such as implementing a night time routine and learning your babies cues. I never followed any of her feeding advice, but just took bits and pieces from the book. Worth reading IMO.

She is excellent. Did anyone see the television show or was it just in the UK?
She died in 2004 of skin cancer, very sad.

I loved it! I actually read the Secrets of the Baby Whisperer (her second book). It made a lot of sense to me. Jordana started sleeping through the night at 4 weeks.

I didn't see any TV show, but I was so shocked to learn this. My neice is a terrible sleeper and my sister was looking to hire her, but then found out she passed 2 years ago. And she has little chlidren. So sad Chat Icon

Someone DH works with suggested this book since we were having trouble w/ Alex in the beginning.
It was a great guideline for us as far as the whole EASY Method.
It really got her (& I) into a nice little routine.
She started sleeping better & so did I!Chat Icon

I used to watch her show when we were in Ireland. I thought she was amazing.
