Just what I like to see on my morning commute..
Things I wish I didn't see this morning:
2 police officers run up the stairs in Penn Station as I've stepped on an escalator going in the same direction.
Another 6 worried officers at the top of the escalator with dogs talking about what direction they should go in...
Hearing one police officer yell to the other one, he has no idea what he's doing - it just inspired such confidence in me as I walk to my office above Penn Station.
Final comments - NYFD firemen from Wednesday's event were much hotter.

awww...I know how you feel. I see this all the time and it's not so comforting.
One time, they evacuated an E train because of smoke coming out of the bottom. Then, still not knowing what was wrong, they sent the train through the tunnel and didn't even evac the station. As if that wasn't bad enough, as the train was leaving a police officer said "I'm getting the hell out of here, we don't know what's going to happen" and the two of the officers ran up the stairs

what time did you get in, i didn't see anything this morning. I work above Penn Station too, at 2Penn! Where do you work?

2 Penn  My train was late - so it was about 40 min.

A few days after 9/11, I was in the city, and they evacuated our subway. The officiers looked terrified and were screaming directions at each other, each time conflicting what they said before. It was terrifying!

that can be scary but I guess we always have to realize that while they are cops and wonderful help to us, they are also humans with families, loved ones and friends, too.....I still give them a lot of cirdit for going into unknown situations every day!

I used to work at 2 Penn too! I loved that commute, but hated being right above Penn. My office was originally on the 10th floor (1090), but we later moved to a suite on the 6th floor!

I agree! My brother graduated from probie school last year and at his graduation my mother and i swore that they must make it a requirement to be hot to get in.
