Refinishing Wood Floors
I know this has probably been brought up before, but I am wondering if it is realistic of me to think we can refinish our floors for under $2000. Unfortunately, I am unsure about the exact sizes of the rooms. It's a 3 bedroom ranch. We would be looking to refinish the living room which is a decent size, one bedroom (that is very small), and the other two bedrooms which are medium sizes. We would also need the hall going down to the bedrooms redone as well. (It's not terribly long.) Am I being realistic to think we could do it for under or around that price? We are going to be getting estimates after we close. Thanks!!

Yes, you should be able to do it for that price.
I just had a 4 bedroom colonial done... large diniing room, wide hallway, stairs, wrap around upstairs hall, and 4 bedrooms. We needed some repairs done, bullnose installed, and we put an extra coat of moisture cure poly (the best stuff but many don't like to use it because of the fumes)... 1130 sq feet (stairs are always extra as they must be done by hand) for $3,000.

Oh, I also forgot to say we paid him in cash and we have a family member who is a contractor which is part of the reason we received the price we did.
