Does anyone else feel...
sad when they think of their babies growing up? 
DH makes fun of me and says "at least let him be born first, then worry about him growing up." But I can't help but get sad at thinking of his first steps and eating big people food.
My mom said that when my sister (her first baby) lost her umbilical cord thing, my mom cried for days non stop saying "my baby's growing up. she's not an infant anymore."  That's how I feel. It makes me sick, literally, to think of  as a teen or even an adult

I haven't yet with this one, but with Caiden, I got really weepy when he hit any kind of milestone. There were so many times but a couple of times I remember the best was when I was weaning him from BF'ing and I was giving him a bottle, I just rocked him thinking and crying a little how I felt like he didn't need me anymore. Then on his first birthday I took a picture of him sleeping in his crib with his hiney in the air  at the exact minute he was born and started crying because I couldn't believe he was a year already. And yesterday, I was watching him coming into the house behind me carrying his own Happy Meal from McDonald's. I just can't believe how old he is already. Time really flies. He's already past 2.5 yrs old!!! My little man is growing up soooo fast!

I know how you feel! DH always talks about him dating and getting married. I cover my ears all of the time...I just cannot hear of it

DH and I were talking about this last night. And how our lives are going to change. We won't be just the two of us anymore. DH started talking about how they grow up so quickly and then move out and we will be empty nesters alone again.
Then I asked my DH to think about my brother (who has lived with my parents off and on until this summer and he is 35 and on Wife #2).
