Ignorance Running Rampant
I usually can hear most of what goes on in the fron office...because everyone talks so loudly here.
Some idiot just yelled out..."Marty had a dream so I'm off on Monday, I don't know what his dream with, but I'm off"
Now seriously how can you NOT know what Martin Luther King JR's dream was?

Sadly...I don't think it was. One of the other girls expalined that Martin Luther King Jr was a Civil Rights Movement Leader...and his dream was for African Americans to be treated equally and given all the same oppurtunity's as white people....the woman's response was "OH REALLY"

I think its disgusting that people don't know who MLK is. How can they go through school here and now know?!!!
But as for not caring, we are all guilty of some of that... Memorial Day and July 4th are just days to have a BBQ or see Fireworkds and Veteran's day is just a day of sales. But people who are soldiers or veterans or who have lost people to a war feel differently than the rest of us. What about Labor day??
It's amazing- I was in Israel for their Memorial Day and it is such a big deal- everyone goes to the solider cemetaries or does something. The night Memorial Day ends is Israel's independence day and EVERYONE goes out and celebrates- like its New Years Eve in Times Square. Its so wonderful.

Just like the rest of our national holidays have been turned into marketing opportunities and shopping opportunities.
To think all of our vets fought for our freedom so we can get a discount on clothes and appliances?

40's I think....but she doesn't seem all that educated...she makes alot of remarks that seem uneducated...or just plain not using your head
