Has anyone gotten pregnant while taking Provera

I thought I remember seeing a post where people did get pregnant while on provera. I didn't get a second blood test later in my cycle in May to see if I ovulated late that month. And its been 8 days since my last provera pill. I didn't have any symptoms last month on provera and this time I have extremely sore nipples along with some other symptoms i never got before. Part of me feels I could have ovulated later in my cycle. Could this be?

Yes but I think if somebody is given that and actually ovulates after they start they could technically get pregnant.

Hi, I take Provera, my RE told me that it doesnt make you ovulate, all it does it make you get your period.

That's me probably! I got preggo while on provera. Here's my long story.
I was on clomid first and nothing happenend, I didn't ovulate. At the end of March my doc took a pregnancy test and it came back negative sO they put me on Provera to bring on AF so that they could try yet another round of clomid. I began taking provera and stopped after the first week of April and waited and waited for AF. In the meantime I wanted a second opinion so I had scheduled an apt. with a fertility specialist the end of the third week in April ( I waited like 2 weeks for AF to no avail) I went to the specialist (who was great) she talked to me for like an hour and then wanted to do a sonongram to see if I had PCOS. When she did my sono she saw little pook and told me I was approx. 5 weeks preggo. All the doctors and myself are thinking I ovulated right before the preggo test in March, it didn't come up positive yet because it was still way too early and the rest is history. I was very nervous about being on provera while pg (I did research and its not good) but they said it probably worked for me and helped me hold onto little pook. They also said it was to early on to do any damage the research suggests can be done. PLease FM with any questions. Good luck.
