For Melissa... The Afghan my Mom made for Jack
These aren't the best pictures of it but they show the work my Mom put into it. When I was born my Nana made one for me so my Mom remade the pattern on excel and made one for Jack from his Nana :) She knit the colored blocks and then embroied it by hand.

That is beautiful! It's pretty amazing that she did all of that.
Have you learned how to knit so you can do it for Jack's child? If not you got a few years to learn

She did it fast too. She's a crazy Nana she has made him tons of things. It's really a shame we live in Florida. She tried to teach me when I was younger and we both didn't have the patience for me to learn at that point. She wants to show me again and I want to learn... the problem is when she comes into town (which is pretty often) she ends up just wanting to play with Jack. She just made a pattern to match Jack's new bedroom theme with all the Construction Trucks and she is trying to get it done for his 1st Bday. She wants to make it toddler bed size so he has it for when we switch him out of his crib down the line.

That is so amazing! I can only crochet and very basic at that. I couldn't imagine making something so elaborate -- what a special gift that she's made! That's a family keepsake. Thanks for posting the pics!

Wow that is so nice. I wish I knew how to knit or crochet both my grandmothers do both my one grandmother makes mostly blankets but the one that crochets she makes my DD sweaters and a few dressses and pants sets they are so nice.
