We just got invited to the wedding of our ONLY non-gifters
Man, did it feel good to send that "Will Not Attend." Normally, if I can't go, I always send a gift, but I just can't bring myself to do it.
This is the person, if you recall, where I sent a thank you and wrote:
Thank you for sharing our day; we hope you enjoyed yourselves.
And they STILL didn't "get" it. They told me they "forgot" and then just never gave a gift. Sure ya did, freakin freeloaders! Now you want MY money. No, sir!
I'm not mad at all. LOL! I just couldn't believe we got invited.

It's crazy how you never thought you'd be the grudge type of person, but with things like this it really gets you.
I had a few people who didn't give any gifts for my wedding. For one I completely understood -- she had her husband have been having a rough time but still gave a card with a nice message inside, but for the other people -- I just don't understand how you can go and spend a whole day at a wedding and not give anything!
I also had someone who RSVP'd that she'd be there, was at the church and then miraculously didn't show up for the reception. I called her once or twice to see what happened and she never called back --- she still e-mails me, but I don't reply. It just bothers me and for some reason I DO hold a grudge with that.

If someone was broke, hey, I would understand. This person is just cheap and then brags about his wedding.
Very weird about the person who came to your church and not your reception. Odd!!! I'd be mad, too.

This is so funny! We got invited to the wedding of one of our non-gifters too only last week. The reason he gave my DH at the time was that they had just got engaged and he used all his savings on the ring, but he would send something when he could. 9 months later he managed to send the invitation first and still no gift
I was surprised that my DH felt as strongly as I did, but he had the response card "with regrets" in the mailbox before I ever got to see the invitation

EXACTLY!!
I just got an invite yesterday to our only freeloaders.My closest cousin mind you,made up some excuse how they forgot the card-yada yada yada, although they lived literally down the block from the venue. There were/are no $$ issues,they own their own business.
Come this September my husband & I will be enjoy an evening of FREE dinner and dancing,compliments of the bride and groom.

Heres a similar one for ya,
My cousin made a stink 2 weeks b4 my wedding to come with a guest. (I didnt know he was dating anyone). I said fine, rearranged the seating  and paid for both of them
He called my mom 2 days b4 to tell her they had other plans to go camping. 
So I had 2 basically no shows. and NO GIFT EITHER!
Well, I just the invite to their wedding...

I would totally do this too! unfortunately I'm sure FH wouldnt let me - he would want to go and give them a nice big gift.... I just do not understand him sometimes....
