Toy/Video Recs
I am slowly working on my registry and was wondering what toys/videos/books that you would recommend?
Does the baby einstein or language library really work?
As I first time mother to be and a teacher, I really want the best educational stuff out there!
Any suggestions/opinions are greatly appreciated!!! TIA

Julia has the Baby Genius dvd's and loves them! I would look into those too.

Baby Einstein videos are great-- We got the entire sets Volume 1 and 2 at Costco...
Leapfrog and some Fisher price stuff re great--Jacob has the Leapfrog table, the leapfrog leappad and his favorite is a litlle stuffed animal that attches to your stroller called Baby Tad Leapfrog.. He sings the ABC's... They also have Baby leap and Baby Lily ( If you have a girl).
Just to let you know when Kohl's has a sale you can get toys there and it is cheaper than Toys r us.. They have-Leapfrog and Fisherprice and Little Tykes stuff...

We have a baby einstein video -- Baby Mozart but Emily isn't too crazy about it. However we have a Bear in the Big Blue house DVD (bear for all seasons) and my husband has made DVDs of the Jack's Big Music Show episodes from Noggin --- and her face lights up with both Bear and Jack's. She watches them in the morning while he gets ready for work since Im out of the house by 6am and he has to get her ready for the sitter's.

Kiera loves these products also. And I think they're great. The videos calm her-even now at 16 months. ANd I feel Leapfrog is very educational.
I registered for the Baby Einstein DVD's and then returned them and bought the box set at BJ's-it comes out to $10 a DVD instead of $16.

We were just talking about this at the park. My kids loved Baby Einstein, Bach, Mozart, etc. Also Muzzy was a big hit but it's pretty pricey.
