why do ppl wait till literally the last second
we shut our phones off at exactly 8:30. Well 8:29 call in queue and who gets it but me.  She wants an international flight, then had me look at 5 different airlines and itineraries. After giving her all the information I tried so hard to convince the woman to book tomorrow and she was going to do so until I said the magic words "price is not guaranteed till booked and ticketed. No rate is being held for you. Rate is subject to change and availability"
so at 8:40pm I had to do an international booking and do all the confirmations that go with it. I did not get out until after 9pm. Why oh why do people wait till literally the second before we flip the switch to call

i hear you, i get that all the time. it was worse when i worked the night shift though, we close at 12am and i got the last call a few times at like 1158, wanting to set up service. Hello its 1158 what are you doing ordering cable didnt you think to do this before or couldnt wait for tomorrow. Then i would get out at 1230am, worse thing is that i didnt get paid overtime

OMG that would drive me up a wall. Why are people calling so darn late for things. It's a friday night they should be at a bar.
Unfortunatly this person is in CA so it was really 5:30 in her world and she had just gotten out of work. She wanted to go from San Fran to london and then fly back into LAX. Then wanted to know if their was a price difference if she just flew back into San Fran rather then LAX and what would the difference be.
I did make it known we shut off our phones at 8:30pm eastern time which is 3 hours ahead of her so she better call us at a decent time

well at least she had the time difference excuse, but all my customers are in the tristate area

Oh the same thing happen to me this morning.. I get off at 8am, and of course the girl was late taking back the lines and at 8:01 a client calls with a complicated order.. since no one would be in until 8:30 I got stuck handling it, took me over 45 mins and I didn't even get a thank you! urgh!!!
