We are homeowners!!!!
We closed yesterday!!! 
DH & I are so excited! Let the renovations begin!!!!  We hope to be moved in by Christmas!

The house is located in Monroe, NY ( I am 5 minutes from Woodbury Commons by car) and the house is on a lake.
We bought up there to be closer to family and because of the gorgeous lake. :)
The house needs a lot of work, but it will be worth it in the end. We are having the contractor do most of it before we move in. The house is 3BR/2full baths, with a separate office loft space. Believe it or not my DH will be commuting to NYC and the commute is only 1 hour 20 minutes door to door for him (same as if we moved to some areas of Suffolk). I work from home.
The closing went really smooth. I am in the title industry so I had everything worked out before we went to the table. I was still nervous though, it is a HUGE responsibility.

Congrats!! A guy that I work with in the city lives right in that area - he doesn't mind the commute either. My commute from Seaford to NYC mine is 1 hr 20 mins door to door too!!!

We forgot to bring the camera on Monday when we closed. With so much to think about, I left it on the table at our apartment. I called my SIL after we closed and my Bro & SIL came over with their digital camera. I am seeing her this weekend, (my DH is running the NYC marathon and Bro & SIL are coming into the city with us) so I will post pics as soon as I have them.
