Just got back from my monthly doctor's appointment...OMG weight gain!!!
OMG girls...I just got back from my monthly doctors visit and boy did she EVER have a growth spurt...and I guess so did I...
...I gained 10 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!

I did that in my 5th month. That was the only month that I had a huge gain like that. Don't worry it does come off pretty easy.

Dont worry! I had the same thing. I was so used to going and only gaining about 1-2 lbs and then right around 21-22 weeks I gained 7 lbs.. I almost fell off the scale!! Its completely normal and I just learned to accept that my body will put on the weight that it needs.. and everyone is different too!

Exactly, Ive been gaining about 2 lbs each month...when WHAM tghis month is 10 lbs!!
Good to know I'm not alone in this  I'm OK with the weight gain, I dont mind at all because I get my little bean in the end!! It was just a shock!

Yes they told me I would probably have a big jump this month. Last month I gained 2 lbs...so I was kind of shocked over 10 lbs this month

Same here!! I am up to 20lbs gain at 22 weeks. No one believes me I gained that much except me when I see that caboose following me around

Don't worry! I had the same thing... I remember going to the doctor and discovering that in two little weeks I had gained 10lbs! Overall, I gained 45lbs, but it all came off within 10 weeks postpartum... I really think it's all genetics

I'm almost 22 weeks along. I hear its normal for a growth spurt like that - I think my big mistake was looking at the actual number in the scale!

My last appt had a big weight gain so the dr told me to watch my eating over the holidays.
My next appt is at 31 weeks. I hope the scale is good to me.

I had a weight gain of 8 pounds in one month and I almost passed out!
My OB said this is normal to have a HUGE growth spurt in weeks 16-20. Most of it is water and baby. I have not been eating juck food that often and I was watching my portions and I still had thisweight gain after having 3 pounds per month before that. OB also told me that after that growth spurt, I can expect a 3-4 pound weight gain consistantly throughout my 2nd trimester.
