Spinoff..Can anyoe recommend a plce to go for Columbus Day Weekend?

We are looking fo a place to go Columbus Day weekend with 3 hours of LI. We have already been to Mysitic twice. We would like to go somewhere that has things to do at night. Some place relaxing too. We aren't interested in AC, if that helps.

TIA

We're going to Baltimore. It may be a little over three hours. Maybe someplace on the Jersey Shore?

It's a little further than 3 hours, but Cape May is gorgeous!

Boston is approx 4 hours, depending on where you are....I live there, so if you need any ideas, let me know.

DC! or Philly

Also, the area where the friar tuck inn is is nice. That's where my FSIL lives. There's apple picking, antiqueing, mountain views, etc.

If you can find a better place to stay, it's a nice area and a nice drive

DH and I stayed in a beautiful B&B near Hunter Mountain last year. It was really nice and the mountain is really pretty with the changing of the leaves. You can even take the ski lift up to the top for some great views (it was too foggy the day we went, so no pictures to post).

The only thing with that area is there wasn't really anything to do at night. The B&B had a nice sitting room, with board games and VHS tapes to use with VCR's in the rooms.

for our 1 year anniversary, DH and i went to a winery down near AC- called renault winery. they have a gorgeous hotel there that they just built a couple years ago. they also have two restaurants there- we did one where it was a full six course mea inclduing wine tastingsl- very romantic!
it might be a little in the middle of nowhere, but AC is only about 20 minutes away, and so is ocean city with a great boardwalk....

ETA: just reread that you're not interested in AC... lol... but this hotel might be a great place to spend a few days together!
